Your Private farm-land View Cabin on a 3-acre historic 1898 property across from the Skagit River and very close to AWESOME La Conner. Snow geese, swans and more migrate through here in the winter. You might hear the migratory bird hunters in the distance on a winter morning. This cabin is centrally located in the Skagit Valley.

The Space

The upstairs bedroom has a comfy queen bed plus an adorable 1-2 person or kids queen-size futon mattress sleeping nook. The first floor shines bright with windows across the living room. A  full kitchen, bathroom with shower & laundry room make your stay easy. Secure parking, high-speed internet and no television. Typically one hour north of Seattle.

The cabin has private views over farmland, with sunlight shining in huge windows from morning until late afternoon. Enjoy the full kitchen, and complimentary coffee, tea and snacks. The owners spend much of their time selling real estate in the Valley, but you may see them working in the yard or gardens.

Guest Access

Guests have private access to the cabin and the immediate gardens around it. Enjoy watching the chickens in their “Chicken City” that Don built, or hang out on the deck and enjoy the view across the fields. Walks along the dike are enjoyable, and provide great views of the North Fork of the Skagit River as it flows by into Skagit Bay only a couple miles down the road.

The Neighborhood

Skagit Valley offers a wide variety of attractions year-round, and it’s all nearby. La Conner ROCKS! From fun hangouts like the Conway Tavern and La Conner Pub to a variety of restaurants, wine tasting and shopping. We often hang out at the Rexville Grocery just down the road. It is a must-stop for sandwiches or just having a beer with the locals. A top weekend lunch spot is Tweets in nearby Edison. Fantastic home-cooked food for breakfast or lunch! The Conway Muse, Anelia’s Kitchen & Stage and the Old Edison Tavern are top destinations for live music lovers. Snow geese, swans and more migrate through here in the winter. You might hear the migratory bird hunters in the distance on a winter morning. There is a high water-table around the property in winter – sometimes lawns can get soggy in places. Daffodils peak in March, tulips abound in April, and festivals are happening all the time! Skagit Valley is home to an eclectic group of people – from artists to farmers. We find them all accepting and super-friendly. We’ve got lots of information on the Valley as well as Western Washington all in the cabin for you to see.
